On January 14, the production base of the Poly Sinolight Intelligent Manufacturing Research Institute and the Intelligent Equipment Manufacturing Base of China Haisum were officially inaugurated in Changsha. Yu Xiaodong, Executive Deputy General Manager of Poly Sinolight, and Xiao Dan, Deputy General Manager and President of the Intelligent Manufacturing Research Institute, attended the ceremony and unveiled the plaques.
The establishment of the production base represents a key initiative in response to China's strategy of building a manufacturing powerhouse. It is designed to extend the industrial value chain and bridge the gap between "R&D, commercialization, and implementation" in intelligent manufacturing. Leveraging China Haisum's resources and technological R&D advantages in the light industry, the base will develop a full lifecycle service system spanning "design, manufacturing, and project handover and O&M", driven by "integrated engineering services" and supported by "equipment manufacturing". It will position itself as a benchmark supplier of intelligent equipment in specialized fields, advance the iteration of technologies and the commercialization of achievements, and support the Poly Sinolight Intelligent Manufacturing Research Institute in achieving sustainable growth from domestic project deployment to overseas expansion.
Coinciding with the inauguration, the first 2026 work conference of the Poly Sinolight Intelligent Manufacturing Research Institute was convened. Experts from sectors such as papermaking and tobacco were invited to deliver thematic presentations and engage in strategic discussions on the current status and future trends of intelligent manufacturing applications. Delegations also paid research visits to Sinomach Digital Technology Co., Ltd. and Changde Tobacco Machinery Co., Ltd., advancing the systematic development of capabilities and business layout for the institute.
Relevant heads of the Poly Sinolight Science & Technology Management and Industrial Promotion Center, the Intelligent Manufacturing Research Institute, and subsidiaries such as China Haisum and CHAINT, along with key business personnel, participated in the event.
