Good news came again at the beginning of the New Spring. The agreement on 60,000 t/a PVC Project at the PVC plant in Mekele, Ethiopia was officially concluded by China Haisum Changsha Branch on March 25. The Executive Vice Premier and Foreign Minister of Ethiopia, Mr. La Yifan the Chinese ambassador to Ethiopia, Ms. Azeb the CEO of EFFORT Group, Chairman of Sinolight Corporation Chen Esheng and Deputy General Manager Ren Jianping of Chairman, President Xu Datong of China Haisum, and Ms. Fan Yan the Chairlady of China Haisum Changsha Branch were present at the signing ceremony. “The EPC turnkey project for design, goods supply, construction, installation, commissioning, training, operation and maintenance management of the 60,000 t/a PVC resin comprehensive production facility in Mekele, Ethiopia” is located in Mekele, Tigry State, Ethiopia. The contract amounts to approx. 210 million US dollars, and will be finished within 30 months; this facility is designed to manufacture PVC resin. In the context of the New Normal of domestic economy, the Go Out Strategy and the OBOR Initiative, overseas market development has turned into the most important strategic choice of a great many China-based engineering companies. The contract conclusion for the Ethiopia project remarkably promotes the overseas market exploitation of China Haisum, having created good conditions for the China Haisum to further develop the African market.
