On August 27, the new project of Sika (Zhejiang) Novel Materials Co., Ltd.—with an annual capacity of 141,300 tons of high-performance, eco-friendly adhesives, coatings, and related products—reached a key milestone with the topping-out of its main structure. The project is undertaken by the Shanghai headquarters of China Haisum.

Zhang Yejiong, President of Sika China, and Hu Yan, Vice President of Sika China; Li Shijun, Party Secretary and President of China Haisum; Zheng Wen, Party Secretary and General Manager of China Haisum's Shanghai headquarters; as well as representatives from the project management company Century 3, the supervision company Huajian, and relevant subcontractors attended the ceremony.

Li Shijun congratulated the project team on the successful topping-out of the main structure. He emphasized that during the eight-month construction period, China Haisum's design and construction teams overcame challenges including a tight schedule, technical complexity, and extreme heat, ensuring safe, high-quality, and efficient progress of the project. The project has surpassed 400,000 safe man-hours, and the team will continue to prioritize safety and quality, striving to deliver a project of excellence!

Zhang Yejiong expressed his appreciation for China Haisum's support, noting that the project embodies the dedication and expertise of all participating parties over 252 days and nights, while also reflecting Sika Group's confidence in and commitment to the Chinese market. From blueprint to reality, the project marks a new chapter and milestone for Sika China by combining "Swiss precision" with "China speed".

The next phase of the project will involve extensive concurrent works, including water supply and drainage, HVAC, electrical systems, and fire protection. The project team will continue to work diligently toward early completion and final acceptance.

The project covers a land area of approximately 100 mu (approximately 66,667 square meters) and is designed to produce 141,300 tons annually of high-performance, eco-friendly adhesives, coatings, and related products. Upon reaching full capacity, it is expected to generate an annual output value topping RMB 4.3 billion and, therefore, to become the largest production base of Sika Group in China.
