On the afternoon of September 26, 2025, China Haisum hosted the "Smart Engineering · Growing Together with AI" Summit Forum during the World Design Cities Conference 2025 (WDCC2025). The forum marked both the establishment of an innovation consortium for intelligent manufacturing in the light industry and the release of China Haisum's integrated smart factory solution.

Centering on national policy directions and cutting-edge application practices, the forum brought together leaders from industry associations, experts in intelligent manufacturing, and senior corporate executives to share insights, showcase best practices, and jointly explore the evolution of engineering services.

Wu Zhiqi, Second-Level Inspector and Director of the Publicity Division of the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, delivered a welcome address. He noted that intelligent manufacturing serves as a core pillar for Shanghai in building a modern industrial system and is essential for advancing the intelligent, high-end, and green development of the light industry. Wu emphasized that Shanghai will accelerate the deep integration of AI technologies across the entire light industry value chain and strengthen ecosystem collaboration. He expressed the hope that the forum would bring together collective wisdom and contribute new solutions for AI-empowered smart engineering.

Xu Honghai, President of the Shanghai Intelligent Manufacturing Industry Association, delivered remarks and presented a keynote speech titled New Requirements and Challenges for Intelligent Manufacturing Development under the New Landscape, where he underscored the critical role of intelligent manufacturing in industrial upgrading and provided a multi-dimensional analysis of emerging requirements and challenges in the evolving landscape.

Zhao Guo'ang, Deputy Party Secretary and General Manager of Poly Sinolight and Chairman of China Haisum, delivered a keynote address. He pointed out that the forum's theme reflects an accurate understanding of key industry trends, signaling the need to build new models and cultivate new ecosystems. Zhao outlined Poly Sinolight's strategic vision for the "15th Five-Year Plan" period—to become "an outstanding technology-driven industrial group"—along with its core positioning encapsulated in the "Four Roles and One Platform", including becoming a "leader in new intelligent manufacturing". He underscored that intelligent manufacturing is essential for AI to empower the manufacturing sector, and that China Haisum will serve as a key force in technology transformation and engineering services. The company will fully advance its "dual drive of digitalization and intelligence" strategy to support Poly Sinolight in developing integrated smart factory solutions. He also proposed that the advancement of intelligent manufacturing calls for building benchmark smart factories, promoting full-chain data connectivity, focusing on core product processes, and optimizing key business workflows—thereby enabling a profound transformation from physical spaces to digital twins. Zhao concluded by expressing the hope of working hand in hand with industry partners to contribute to the high-quality development of China's industry.

During the event, China Haisum, together with leading intelligent manufacturing enterprises, industry associations, and universities, established the "Light Industry Intelligent Manufacturing Innovation Consortium Ecosystem" and the "Light Industry Intelligent Manufacturing Innovation Consortium". The company also released its integrated smart factory solution, held a roundtable dialogue, and signed multiple cooperation agreements in intelligent manufacturing, committing to collectively building a new, coordinated industrial ecosystem.

Li Shijun, Party Secretary and President of China Haisum, delivered a keynote speech titled Introduction to the Light Industry Intelligent Manufacturing Innovation Consortium, in which he elaborated on the background and vision behind the consortium's establishment. He emphasized that, in response to the challenges posed by the transformation and upgrading of the light industry, the consortium will foster an open and collaborative innovation ecosystem, address common technical challenges, and jointly shape a new blueprint for intelligent manufacturing in the light industry, under the overarching principles of being "market-oriented, project-driven, and value-creating"!

A formal launch ceremony for the "Light Industry Intelligent Manufacturing Innovation Consortium" was also held during the forum. China Haisum, along with Huawei, Golytec Automation, School of Mechanical Engineering (Shanghai Jiao Tong University), JAKA Robotics, MemTensor, Orientech, China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, Black Lake Technologies, ROPEOK Technology, CHAINT, and Sinolight Industrial Internet, established the "Light Industry Intelligent Manufacturing Innovation Consortium Ecosystem". In parallel, China Haisum, together with Poly Sinolight, the Shanghai Intelligent Manufacturing Industry Association, China Paper, Sichuan Yuanjingda, Shenghong New Materials, Guitang Group, Shanghai Sonlu Shangling, New Hope Dairy, Jointown Pharmaceutical Group, Sinolight SLSAC, Dezhou Municipal Development and Reform Commission, and Carre Air-Conditioning Equipment, established the "Light Industry Intelligent Manufacturing Innovation Consortium".

Witnessed by distinguished guests, representatives from all parties jointly illuminated the ceremonial pillars and pushed the launch lever, marking the official inauguration of this major platform dedicated to advancing the intelligent, high-end, and green transformation of the light industry.

Zhang Zhi, Executive Vice President of China Haisum, delivered a keynote presentation titled Overview of China Haisum's Intelligent Manufacturing Business, providing a systematic introduction to the company's capabilities and strategic planning in the field. She also released China Haisum's integrated smart factory solution—"Haisum · Data Factory".

Xing Heyun, Director of Solutions Architecture for Huawei's Manufacturing and Large Enterprises BU, delivered a keynote speech titled Huawei's Intelligent Manufacturing Practices. He shared Huawei's methodologies, implementation outcomes, and case studies in intelligent manufacturing, and expressed the expectation of working with China Haisum to explore the "Light Industry + AI" development pathway for the vision of "contributing to a better life through smart engineering".

Moreover, a range of signing ceremonies were also held to deepen cooperation. China Haisum signed strategic cooperation agreements with project owners including Dezhou Municipal Development and Reform Commission, Sichuan Yuanjingda, Shanghai Sonlu Shangling, and Carre Air-Conditioning Equipment, as well as with industrial chain partners such as JAKA Robotics, Golytec Automation, MemTensor, and Black Lake Technologies, demonstrating a strong commitment to advancing intelligent manufacturing.

A roundtable dialogue themed "New Technologies Empowering Industrial Upgrading in the Manufacturing Sector" was also held during the forum. Focusing on sectors such as papermaking, chemicals, food, and home appliances, senior executives and experts from China Paper, Shenghong New Materials, Sinolight SLSAC, Jointown Pharmaceutical Group, China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, Sichuan Yuanjingda, Guitang Group, Shanghai Sonlu Shangling, New Hope Dairy, and Huawei jointly explored core needs, energy conservation and carbon reduction goals, efficiency improvements, and practical challenges in advancing intelligent manufacturing, while sharing cross-sector insights and best practices.
